The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) organisers has announced that the popular DSF event "Night Souq" will be held at Al Seef Street all through the DSF nights starting from 20th December 2006 up to 2nd February 2007.

It has been noticed that the DSF Night Souq has become a favourite with Asians, GCC nationals and UAE residents. The DSF 2005 saw a record number of them walking through the Night Souq. Statistics shows that the number of people visiting the Night Souq during DSF 2003 were 424,722, DSF 2004 were 696,682 and during DSF 2005, a total of 1,015,700 people visited marking an increase of 46 per cent between DSF 2004 and DSF 2005.

"All kiosks at the Night Souq are already booked and shoppers would be able to enjoy a better ambience as more seating area would be added outside the Night Souq as well as festive decorations to create a complete shopping mall under the stars effect" said Shaikha Al Jassmi, DSF Events Coordinator.

The DSF Night Souq is a well-established concept. Ever since 2003, when it was first introduced, it has become one of the more easily recognisable feature of every DSF and attracts a large number of shoppers for its leisurely night shopping.

The combined editions of DSF 2006-2007 will run from December 20, 2006 to February 2, 2007. The 45 days of family fun, entertainment and shopping frenzy will offer retrospective glimpses of the 10 previous editions combining the best of the best and promises to be even bigger and better.
