Dubai Fashion 2007 extravaganza presented by BurJuman and Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) only gets better with Christian Lacroix and Ungaro showcasing their latest spring-summer 2007 line at the Al Jawhara Ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah at 8pm.

The Christian Lacroix ready-to-wear new Spring/Summer 2007 collection is a very urban yet earthy collection featuring small coats, box jackets, above the knee umbrella skirts, cocktail and evening dresses. The fabrics used in the collection are light wool, silk, cotton and lace all in the colours of spring and summer like black and white, navy and red and sulfur yellow, saffron, peach and mint respectively.

The Emanuel Ungaro Spring/Summer 2007 collection also showing on the third day of the fashion event is all about the vision of freedom and individuality. The collection is a symphony of colored prints mixed in random patterns inspired by butterfly wings. The fabrics used in his collection are light, airy and shimmering in vibrant colors like fuchsia, turquoise, blue, orange, yellow, green, platinum and touches of white and black to add a graphic element. “BurJuman, the residence of high fashion, was the first mall in the region to house world-renowned designer brands including Christian Lacroix. The fashion show tonight clearly highlights the strides Dubai has made in the world of luxury fashion," said Eisa Adam Ibrahim, General Manager, BurJuman.

Dubai Fashion 2007, a 4-day fashion fiesta showcasing the latest collections of five leading French and Italian brands, is been held from January 9- 12 at the Madinat Jumeirah, Al Jawhara Ballroom, at 8pm every evening.

The Emanuel Ungaro and Christian Lacroix on January 11 will be followed by the grand finale of the four-day fashion event, a presentation of the highlights of Dubai Fashion 2007 on January 12 exclusively for ladies.

Dubai Fashion 2007 will be followed by another spectacular fashion event, Creations 2007, which showcases daily fashion shows by designers from the region and will be held from January 18 until February 1 at BurJuman, the world’s most luxurious shopping destination.
