Global Village in Dubai, the heart of Dubai Shopping Festival, has been opened for public viewing. It is managed by Tatweer, a fully-owned investment and real estate subsidiary of Dubai Holding.

Abdul Redha Ali bin Redha, CEO, Global Village, said, “The Global Village mirrors the way of life of Dubai outside its gates. For if Dubai is home to close to 200 nationalities co-existing in perfect harmony and camaraderie, the Global Village is a miniature Dubai, bringing the world together in the confines of its commodious premises.”

The visitors to the Dubai Shopping Festival can visit the 39 global pavilions and 50 restaurants at the Global Village, which will remain open for 59 days until February 9, 2007. The Village will be open from 4.00pm to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and from 4.00pm to 1.00am from Thursday to Saturday while Mondays are marked as the 'family day' for the convenience of women and children.
