Emaar Malls Group unveils colourful events and value deals as Strategic Partner of DSF 2011
 

Emaar Malls Group, the shopping malls & retail subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC and one of the largest developers of premium shopping and entertainment destinations in the region, has unveiled a colourful calendar of events and festive discounts for the 16th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

One of the most-awaited shopping and entertainment extravaganzas that attract millions of tourists from around the world, the month-long DSF will be held from January 20 to February 20, with Emaar Malls Group participating as Strategic Partner. All four shopping destinations of Emaar Malls Group – The Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Al Bahar and Gold & Diamond Park – will take part in the festival.

A spectacular range of festivities are being planned at the malls, several of them showcased in the region for the first time, in addition to fabulous discounts offered by the participating retailers in the malls.

To enhance the customer experience throughout DSF, Emaar Malls Group is also rolling out an exclusive promotional campaign, ‘A Touch of Class'. Customers who spend AED 300 at any participating outlet in the malls will receive a raffle ticket from the Guest Service desks offering them the chance to win from an array of prizes.

The Dubai Mall will host an array of daily entertainment activities - several of them being introduced to the region for the first time - that will appeal to all visitors. The mall's dedicated Fashion Catwalk featuring one of the region's most advanced fashion ramps will host ‘Creations' the dedicated haute couture event of DSF. In line with DSF's theme of ‘One World, One Family, One Festival,' the mall will also host roaming entertainment, themed shows and a host of colourful activities including special promotions by leading retailers.

The Dubai Mall has 1,200 retail outlets, several of them flagship stores or Middle East debuts of global brands, and 160 F&B outlets. Visitors at the mall can also enjoy the leisure assets including Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo with over 33,000 aquatic animals and the world's largest acrylic viewing panel; the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink; the Middle East's first of its kind SEGA Republic theme park; the region's first KidZania® children's edutainment centre and Dubai's largest megaplex, the 22-screen Reel Cinemas.

The Dubai Mall also has several world-class leisure amenities, and offers exclusive access to At the Top, Burj Khalifa, the world's highest observatory deck with an outdoor terrace in the world's tallest building. The Dubai Mall's waterfront promenade opens to spectacular views of The Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest performing fountain.

Dubai Marina Mall, centrally located in Dubai Marina, with over 160 retail outlets; Souk Al Bahar with a variety of stores and food & beverage outlets; and the Gold & Diamond Park with 90 retail outlets dedicated to the gold and jewellery trade will also showcase a choice of entertainment events for visitors.

The sixteenth edition of Dubai Shopping Festival is expected to attract millions of visitors from around the world with festivities, concerts, international events, and plenty of shopping promotions. The festival, organized by the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, an agency of the Department of Economic Development of Dubai, is an opportunity for all retailers to organize offers, attract shoppers, and register robust sales throughout DSF.
