'Creations”, the popular Dubai Shopping Festival’s major fashion event, is offering a fantastic bundle of opportunities for young and upcoming designers.

To be held at BurJuman in the evenings, “Creations 2007” is a two-week exciting event from January 18 to February 1. Registrations for participation in Creations 2007 have already begun at the DSF Office with designers pouring in to submit their applications to be a part of this unique fashion extravaganza hosting daily two shows by amateurs and one by professionals .

The closing date for receiving duly completed applications is December 15, 2006.

Said Suhaila Gobaash, DSF sponsorship manager: “Creations 2007 comes in an all-new look. It will be a complete entertainment event focusing, of course, on fashion with a very contemporary and modern look.”

She added: “We urge young designers to make the most of this opportunity and register right in earnest for “Creations 2007.

“The first week of Creations 2007 will feature Amateur Fashion Designers from the region and the second week will showcase Professional Fashion Designers from the region.”

First instituted in 2003 during DSF, Creations is a unique initiative to bring fresh talent to the fore. Creations – The Young Fashion Designer’s Dream organised by DSF provides logistical support to the participants and gives them the much-needed exposure to take sure and steady steps in the world of design and high fashion.
