| |
|
There is much more to the DSF than shopping. It is a festival that encompasses not just shopping but also quality entertainment and many other wonders. Stop by at the Creek Park to partake of the DSF activities and we promise it will be an experience to remember. It’s different, yet exciting and filled with fun and frolic all the way.
After a long hiatus the DSF is back in the parks and open air this year. Festival Park returns this season with a brand new concept and name, and is attracting families to be a part of the celebrations. The park is bedecked in colourful festival gear to add a festive feel to the atmosphere. A funfair area has been especially created for the little ones with fun rides and inflatables. Kiosks and stalls selling a variety of eatables and refreshments are installed as various locations throughout the park for easy accessibility.
While the visitors take a walk in the scenic park they are most welcome to stop by for snacks or a quick bite of some traditional treats. Whether you fancy a warm cup of coffee to have a break from the winter chill or a corn on the cob or some filling, hearty sandwiches, it’s all there.
The main stage in the park is built in front of the Children’s City where a variety of programmes are held daily. The main attractions include African dances and Arabic tannoura dances as well as cultural performances from different parts of the world. The Festival Park also hosts Dubai Carnival regularly presenting a rich cultural extravaganza. The Carnival takes on a whole new look against the backdrop of the green, manicured landscape of the park. The visitors have a chance to participate too as they can join in the parade of the dancers and merry-makers.
The clowns and walking dolls amuse the kids and give them balloons and little gifts. kiosks selling traditional gifts have been set up too for all those who would like to indulge in some shopping.
The Festival Park gives a festive feel to the entire city. It’s to say that DSF is not limited to shopping malls but has a much larger reach. It’s quite an experience to enjoy this amazing festival in the open.
A venue to take a break from the maddening city crowds Festival Park is a perfect weekend getaway to spend time with the family. It offers wholesome entertainment for all age-groups.
