Hotels
offer a remarkably diverse range of food
and beverage outlets, partly because they
serve not only their own guests but also
attract a large number of local residents.
Their restaurants cover everything from
coffee shops to fine dining and speciality
outlets.
Regarded by many as the food paradise,
almost every major international cuisine
can be found in Dubai. With hundreds of
restaurants dotted around the city, you
will never have to look very far for that
wood-fired pizza or Japanese sashimi.
There are far too many restaurants to
list them all here, but we will soon update
these pages with our recommended few.
however, you may find that the best eateries
are often well-kept secrets, so it can
pay to ask a local or an expat.
Thursday marks the beginning of the weekend
and restaurants are always very busy,
so if you are interested then we highly
advise you to book, especially in the
Summer months as a lot of restaurants
will close their outdoor dining areas
as it is too hot.
Dubai's
offers more than 450 restaurants, with
pretty much every flavour from around
the world. An increasing number of chefs
with stellar international reputations
have now set up restaurants in Dubai's
top hotels - Gordon Ramsay at the Hilton
Dubai Creek, Viktor Stampfer at the Ritz-Carlton
and John Wood at the Burj al Arab amongst
them.
Sales tax at 10% is added to all bills.
Service charges at 10-15% are also frequently
added but, if they are not, a 10% tip
is expected.
Restaurants situated outside hotel and
club premises are not allowed to serve
alcohol. However, all are airconditioned
and are often culinary adventures in their
own right.
Complete list of Dubai Restaurants will show as early as possible.
